The Guest speaker was Mr.D.DHILIP, Tech Mahindra, who delivered the lecture on career opportunities in logistics and shipping. His speech was about how to develop the technical skills and availability of job opportunities in IT oriented companies and also he insisted how to develop the soft skills to sell our self. He enlighten students to proceed further in future.
• The Mechatronics Engineering Association conducted Guest Lecture on “how to get internship on industrial companies” 7th august 2015 at C BLOCK ‘104’ hall. The Guest speaker was M.r MOORTHY LAL CEO, MILL TEX industry private limited, who delivered speech on how to get internship on industrial company. His speech was about seeking the internship, how to find the right company, how to be a professional, Don’t while away time, ask for work, build trust, how to get our goals, how to seek mentorship, how to seek feedback, way of asking questions, how to keep a record of our work and finally how to network smartly. He arrested our students attention smartly
• The Mechatronics Engineering Association conducted guest lecture on “INTRODUCTION TO UAV RESEARCH” 18th august 2015 at C BLOCK ‘104’ hall. The Guest speaker was M.r M.JAGADESH CHANDHER, MAAVAN AERONAUTICS, who delivered introduction speech about UNMANED AERIAL VEICHLE. His speech was mainly about Robotics implemented in UAV. He insisted about different types of sensors which a recently introduced, how to build our own robot in effective way. He denounced the exposure of engineering students into the field of robotics and also thought some introduction about Embedded Systems and Aero Modelling.
• The Mechatronics Engineering Association conducted guest lecture on topic of “importance of UAV research” on 19th august at C BLOCK 104 hall. The guest speaker was M.r GOKUL NATH (alumni), who delivered speech about importance of software packages. He insisted what are most important software packages for a mechanical design engineer such as CAD packages like solid works, to sum it software packages with considerable instancy.
• The Mechatronics Engineering Association conducted guest lecture on topic “placement and job opportunities” on 21st august at C BLOCK 104 hall. The guest speaker was M.r RAJKUMAR(alumni), who delivered speech about placement and job opportunities. His speech was about the basic requirement of Engineering graduates in industries, how to develop our communication skills, soft skills etc.. and also concluded with how to grab the opportunities.
• G.Suresh Kannan Professor from Coimbatore Institute of Technology has delivered a guest lecture on the topic “Air Standard Cycles” for II MCT students (hall no. C101). He explained about the function of Otto cycle, Diesel cycle, dual cycle and Brayton cycle. He also explained about the difference in working principle, their efficiencies, pressure ratio, and compression ratio, cut off ratio which are also included in the syllabus. In addition he also explained about the working of Carnot and reversed Carnot cycle. He also gave few interesting facts on the concept of Entropy and its relation with the universe. The lecture was very effective and interesting. Students interacted with him and asked various queries. Number of beneficiaries 60 students and 2 faculties.
• A Guest lecture on the topic “Medical Electronics” was held on September 16, 2015 for Third Mechatronics students and conducted by Dr.Thirunavukarasu, ASP/ Annamalai University, Chidambaram. This session helps the students to understand the basics of Medical Instruments. The speaker shared their industrial experience and latest technologies.
• Yuvaraj, Associate professor from Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, has delivered a guest lecture on the topic “Design Of Springs” for Third year Mechatronics Engineering students on 15.09.2015 (hall no. C101). He explained the concept of Hooks law used in the spring design and analysis. He taught the guidelines used in designing of springs He also solved few problems so that students will be able to understand the design methodology clearly. His lecture was very effective and helpful for the student studying Design of Machines Elements.
