The Sixteenth Annual Day of SNS College of Technology was celebrated on 5th April 2018, at the college premises. The programme started with a prayer song. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. S. Rajalakshmi, Correspondent, SNS Institutions and the dignitaries on the dais by lighting the ceremonial lamp.

Dr.R.Anuradha, Head, Department of Civil Engineering and planning, extended a warm welcome to the gathering. The Annual Report was rendered by the Principal Dr. S. Chenthur Pandian, who highlighted the achievements of the college.

Dr. S. N. Subbramanian, Chairman, SNS Institutions presided over the function. In his presidential address the Chairman took pleasure in welcoming the chief guest.  He expressed his thankful recognition towards the chief guest’s acheivements. He emphsised students to have goals in their life, he also extended to have a goal with a vision. He recounted few stories for the benefit of the students, He suggested students to acheive in life like Mr. Suresh Narayanan, Chief guest of the day. He assured that the students will have ever green memories about SNS whenever they think about their college life. He wished the students to be successful in all their endeavours.

Dr. S. Nalin Vimal Kumar, Technical Director, SNS Institutions, thanked the Chief guest and faculty members who worked for this event to be a successful one, he also entertained students with his energetic speech and conducted an interesting game to the students in the mean time of his speech. He also advised the students to heed elders when they talk.

Dr. V.S. Velusamy, Founder Trustee, SNS Institutions and Dr. V.P. Arunachalam, Director, SNS Technical Institutions offered their felicitations. Dr. L. M. Nithya, Head, Department of Information and Technology introduced the chief guest.

Mr.Suresh Narayanan, Chairman and Managing director, Nestle India Ltd, addressed the students with enthusiasm. He also suggested the students to have their own goals in life and copy not others, so that to have an individuality. He presented his speech under the title of “ Running a career marathon”, he advised the students with “12 Manthras of life” to acheive success, Which includes “Don’t try to please everyone in life”, “Question everything in life”, Be gentle to yourself and celebrate your difference”, “Nurture the strength of spirit”, “ambiguity is the beast, do be averse to it”. etc.. He through his speech wanted all the students to acheive success in life by following the 12 mentioned mantras.                   

Ms.Divya, fourth year Computer Science and Engineering student was honoured with the most prestigious awards of the college Best Outgoing Student which carries the cash prize of 60,000 rs and a Silver Shield. Prizes were given to the University rank holders, academic toppers, and to the students who won prizes in various cultural and literary events. Faculty members who completed their Ph.D. in the academic year 2017-2018 were honoured. Prizes were also given to the staff who published books; research articles in Anna University listed Annexure I and II journals and produced exemplary results in the Anna University examinations and the autonomous end semester examinations. Dr.M.Singaravelu, Dean/Agri proposed vote of thanks. The programme ended on the patriotic note of the National Anthem.
