Biomedical Engineering - Program Outcomes



At the end of the program, graduate will be able to:
PO-a:. Engineering Knowledge    Apply basic knowledge of Mathematics, Medical Science and Engineering Science to solve complex Biomedical Engineering problems
PO-b Problem Analysis    Identify, formulate, research, analyze and reach substantiated conclusions along with recommendations for complex Biomedical Engineering problems.
PO-c Design / Development of solutions    Design Biomedical Engineering systems, components or processes to meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health   and safety, culture, society and the environment.
PO-d Conduct Investigations of complex problems    conduct literature review, design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of results to provide valid conclusions
PO-e Modern Tool usage    Utilize techniques, skills and modern Engineering tools to model, simulate and solve complex Biomedical Engineering problem with the understanding of the limitations.
PO-f The Engineer and Society    Apply contextual Biomedical engineering knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues
PO-g Environment and Sustainability    Understand the impact of Biomedical Engineering solutions towards society and the environment for sustainable development.
PO-h Ethics     Understand professional ethics and responsibilities in Biomedical Engineering practice.
PO-i Individual and Team Work    Function effectively as an individual, and as a team member or leader in a multi-disciplinary environment.
PO-j Communication    Communicate effectively on Engineering activities with both Engineers and the community at large through discussions, reports and presentations.
